This rug is an excellent alternative to artificial fabric. Because my little one will be playing on this, I wanted it to be a natural fabric. Without the padding underneath it is a bit firm, but still soft enough to play on. It’s incredibly soft. My only complaint is that it does slide quite a bit, so a grip mat underneath is likely necessary for those with hardwood floors. The color is as pictured. Very happy with the price and quality.. This cotton rug is lightweight and looks super cute under a round table in our living room. While I would probably take it to a laundromat to wash, I could fit in in my regular machine. I haven't done this yet. It does not have any loose threads and is finished nicely. While it does bunch a bit when the kids/cats play on it, but it flattens right out easily.
