Entryways Doormats

The intricate “Strawberry Thief,” with its mischievous birds––juicy berries dangling from their beaks––is inspired by one of the most iconic works of the 19th century by the great champion of the Arts and Crafts Movement, William Morris (1834-96), who based his design on the thrushes he saw stealing strawberries from the grounds of Kelmscott Manor, his Oxfordshire home.

I love this door mat...the colors are so vibrant and it goes perfectly with my blue siding and pink door!. Anonymous. Voorhees, NJ. Wed May 20 2026

The beautiful carnation surrounded by leaves featured on this mat is inspired by an Arts and Crafts wallpaper held in the archives. Compton was designed in 1895–6 for Compton Hall in Wolverhampton, England, the home of Laurence Hodson, and it was probably the result of a joint effort between William Morris (1834–96) and his assistant J.H. Dearle (1859–1932). Every Entryway mat is designed and crafted to be stylish and functional. Made from the best quality all-natural coir to meet the industry's highest standards of durability, entryway doormats are hand-stenciled with eco-friendly dyes for long-lasting vibrancy.

I purchased this V A Dianthus coir doormat to replace a V A Strawberry Thief coir doormat which I purchased 2 years ago. The original doormat was beautiful on my covered front stoop, but it had become somewhat worn and the colors faded (as shown in 1 of the 3 attached pictures). The new Dianthus doormat is beautiful and matches the online images and description. The black background looks terrific in front of my black door and the terra cotta hues really pick up the similar colors in my brick steps and foundation. Both of these doormats were well made, attractive, heavy, and stay in place due to the rubber backing.. Winfrey Wright. Fredericksburg. Sat Jan 17 2026

We need a yearly coir mat in this space (it’s totally exposed to weather ) , so I’m used to changing it out every year . I thought I’d try a different design and because I do like a lot of contemporary and modern looking graphics , chose this mat which is about a 180 degree direction for me in this space outside as well as colors . I usually go for blues , greens and natural colors to fit in . This definitely stands out but doesn’t go really with anything outside thats in the color range I mentioned , but I do like the design and the mat is exactly as advertised . I believe I had wanted a blue version and they were sold out . It arrived in good packaging and on time . Its a heavy mat with a backing so I would say if under a roof line, it would live longer ).
