Slight variations in size, color, and texture of the fibers are normal and add a special character to each individual mat. During the first few weeks, it is normal for the coir doormat to shed fibers.

It says its non slip but its not plus its too thick and we stumble over it and fall in to the door. Might put it at the bottom of our deck coming up the stairs.
