I bought this 3' x 5' rug pad to try to get my area rug to stop inching it's way across my hall carpet. I received it in the time specified and it was as described on the web site. When I opened it there was no odor coming from the pad. I didn't have to cut it which was nice. After vacuuming both carpets I placed the pad between the carpet and the area rug. I had to look up how to put the pad - felt side down toward the carpet and rubber side against the area rug. A quick set-up sheet would have saved me some time and effort. The pad has added some cushion which makes it nicer to walk on. As for the traveling area rug, it has slowed down and only moves a centimeter or so a day. This photo is the rug and pad I purchased only had to trim pad to fit round rug which was useful cause I got to use it on some other rugs cut up pieces so I hold them in place and our floors are very cold so the pad was needed. You purchased your beautiful rug and now what? You can't let it slide around; it is just dangerous. You don't want it to wear out prematurely due to rubbing against the floor without protection.
