This rug is a unique piece of world art that will enhance your living space. The entire process of shearing, washing, dyeing and weaving of the rugs is done by village weavers. As a weaving center, Nain dates back to the 1920's. At first it was one of the areas that produced Isfahan carpets. Then beginning in the 1930's, it developed its own identity for very fine precise workshop carpets on a cotton foundation. Nain is a city in Iran in between Isfahan and Yezd. The Nain pattern originates in Iran, however, the design of this rug was copied and re-created in the Bhadohi village in the Varanasi region of India.
