It is recommended to vacuum daily for the first week and then weekly thereafter. Shedding can occur 90 days or longer with regular vacuuming. Remember to vacuum with the beater bar turned off if there are any loops in your area rug. Shedding is a normal aspect of handmade rugs and is simply loose fibers and not a defect or quality issue. In high traffic areas, shedding can continue but will stop when loose fibers are removed over time and care
