The Sophisticated Solid Open Blue Field Antique Peking Modernist Rug from China is an exceptional hand-knotted wool piece dating back to circa 1925. This rectangular rug features a profound, saturated indigo field that creates a striking monochromatic effect, perfect for modern interiors. Its design emphasizes sophisticated simplicity, utilizing a clean beige line to create an architectural geometric pattern through negative space. The subtle abrash across the surface adds depth and movement to the solid blue color. Woven with a 0.5-inch pile height, this large-scale rug serves as a foundational element for substantial living areas or dining rooms. This piece represents the enduring quality of Peking artistry, offering a sense of quiet elegance and restraint that distinguishes it from more ornate antique styles.
