The Solid Open Blue Color Field Antique Chinese Floral Medallion Pattern Peking Rug is an exceptional hand-knotted wool piece dating back to the early 1900s. This antique rug features a saturated indigo field that serves as a stunning backdrop for a delicate, light blue and cream stylized medallion. Traditional iconography, including cloud bands, symbols of longevity, bamboo, and vases, adorns the corners and dense border. Woven in China with a tight weave and a 0.5-inch pile height, this rectangular rug demonstrates the transition toward cleaner lines favored by Western markets while retaining authentic cultural symbols. Its small scatter size makes it a versatile choice for defining spaces or adding historical depth and sophisticated color to a hallway or study.
