Hand-knotted in a sophisticated blend of wool and silk, this 10’ circle rug from Rug & Kilim’s Modern collection features an abstract all-over pattern defined by layered, gestural movement. On the Design: A dramatic play of charcoal blacks, moody grays, and soft mauve tones underscores a composition that feels like a charcoal drawing or an etched canvas. The detail is characterized by sweeping, kinetic lines and over-dyed "scratched" textures that create an impressionistic sense of depth. The natural luster of the silk provides a metallic-like sheen to these linework details, making the darker strokes appear to lift off the neutral field depending on the angle of the light.Admirers of modern minimalism will appreciate the rug's architectural noise—a patternless take on pattern that provides visual complexity without the rigidity of traditional motifs. The circular silhouette softens the bold, graphic nature of the design, making it an ideal anchor for a contemporary foyer or a creative living space. It is an exemplary piece for a collector seeking a rug that functions as woven abstract art, offering a sophisticated, high-end presence that feels both industrial and elegant.Custom Capable:All sizes and colors available—inquire for a quote.
