This magnificent 8x10 rug from Rug & Kilim’s Modern Collection is a kinetic, textural work of art, hand-knotted in fine wool. The design features a dense pattern of interwoven plaid, stripes, and subtle geometric motifs in a sophisticated palette of warm browns and cool grays. On the Design: This rug is a captivating visual experience, an abstract composition of rhythmic texture and earthy color that transforms the floor plane into a dynamic, woven quilt. Crafted from fine hand-knotted wool with a dense, textural pile, the design leverages a masterful patchwork of different patterns to achieve its profound, kinetic energy. The pattern is a sophisticated study in juxtaposition, appearing as a meticulously assembled mosaic of various textiles and weaving techniques. The field is composed of multiple large squares, each containing a distinct motif: some blocks feature classic plaid and checkered patterns, others have simple horizontal or diagonal stripes, and the central squares boast a complex, intricate micro-geometric weave. This rhythmic variety is unified by a rich, monochromatic palette of deep chocolate, warm caramel, and cool tones of slate gray and beige.Rendered in a sophisticated, highly variegated palette, the rug's drama is achieved purely through the rhythmic repetition of texture and the complexity of its interwoven patterns. The tactile quality of the wool, combined with the precise execution of the different designs, makes this piece a sensory experience as much as a visual one.Custom Capable:All sizes and colors available—inquire for a quote.
