Hand-knotted in a special blend of Ghazni wool, this rug from the custom-classics Burano Collection by Rug & Kilim is inspired by antique Chinese Art Deco rugs.On the Design:Keen eyes for detail may admire this rug’s field in particular, where a rich brown and creamy beige geometric pattern underscores elaborate floral medallions of the same tones, further introducing the cool blue hues seen in the borders as well. Admirers of the craft will further note the attention to scale, finesse, and the overall feeling of elegance in the 1920s Chinoiserie style, lending beautifully to this reimagining of such period pieces in their original beauties. The especially soft, comfortable texture and impressionistic beauty inherent to the Ghazni wool is another contemporary element of note, and the soul of this collection therein; an intentional contribution to a classic for a comfortable, yet smart and sophisticated new language in design.Custom Capable:All sizes available—inquire for a quote.Custom Projects: The pricing for our rugs is calculated on a per-square-foot basis and applies to the standard sizes noted.
