Handwoven in wool, this 2x4 vintage Afghan kilim rug originates circa 1950-1960—a tribal curation among new additions to the Rug & Kilim collection. On the Design:A polychromatic colorway with both rich and vibrant hues underscores both stripes and geometric patterns in the all over style. Admirers of the craft may note that its construction may reflect an initial intention as a table runner—an equally suitable use given its length today. Its design further enjoys playful, textural fringes in vibrant threads on all borders but one. It’s a colorful, playful work of folk art in a versatile size with vast design applications. Condition: This vintage flatweave further enjoys good condition for its age and origin.
