Made with hand-knotted Ghazni wool, this rug from Rug & Kilim’s Burano collection features schools of stylized fish pictorial patterns across a celadon ground. On the Design:This contemporary design features an arrangement of marine life, each fish rendered with individual character in varying scales and orientations on a blue field. Admirers of the craft will appreciate how the palette perfectly captures the ethereal quality of underwater life—ivory and coral-toned fish appear to float against the sea-glass green field, creating a sense of depth and movement. What distinguishes this design is its playful balance between representational art and modern abstraction. Each fish is detailed enough to convey its nature yet simplified in a way that speaks to contemporary design sensibilities. Expressing a sophisticated language in design, a smart piece of cultured air and contemporary comfort alike. This is a smart marriage of joyful color and pattern embodying comfort and whimsy few mid-century modern rugs of this versatile size enjoy.Custom Projects: The pricing for our rugs is calculated on a per-square-foot basis and applies to the standard sizes noted.
