Story Behind the Art:
This rug was woven by village weavers within the Hazara tribe in the Bamyan province of Afghanistan. Due to the handmade nature of the rug, size may vary up to 4 inches from the advertised size. The majority of the weavers are women who live in villages throughout Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India. By purchasing this rug, you are supporting these female artisans and their families. Additionally, the local farmers benefit from wool sales while local artisans create natural and vegetable dyes for use in the designs.
