• Created in Morocco during the mid-20th century, this vivid vintage rug features a maelstrom of abstract forms and linear motifs set over vivid background patterns.
• This is a beautiful piece for a midcentury modern collection because of its unique origins and original design. Contemporary designers are using colorful rugs to add color to the floors. Color is no longer only for walls, but it is distributed throughout the space using area rugs and accessories. This technique creates a more balanced look and softens the room to create a more relaxed feel.
• This pattern of this vintage rug is as fascinating as its color palette. It is in line with contemporary color trends that include golden yellows, Millennial pink, greens, blues, and earthy browns. This rug allows you to pull together colors to create a unique palette that adds playfulness to the design.
• The design of the rug seems to arise slowly from an array of unorganized chaos at the bottom of the rug. Slowly, the pattern begins to emerge, first as primitive stripes, but it occasionally drifts back to its origins. This repetition creates a rhythm that allows the pattern to become increasingly more complex, and it begins to develop a sense of order as it progresses towards the top. At the top of the rug from Morocco, the design becomes so light that it seems to float off into space.
