Add a touch of world art to your living space with this handmade rug. This particular rug was made by women weavers in the village of Karaja. Due to the handmade nature of our rugs, the size may vary from as advertised by 3-4 inches. The majority of the weavers are women who live in various villages in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, and India. Rug weaving provides them with job opportunities they may not have had otherwise, and the local farmers benefit from wool sales while local artisans create natural and vegetable dyes for the weavers to use in their designs.
