Our Scottsdale Series frameless swing shower enclosure features beveled hinges, deep u-channel, cylinder ladder-pull handle and a stabilizer bar. By using our in-stock 3/8-in thick glass, this 72-in tall enclosure is readily available for opening widths from 30-in to 61-in. With up to one-inch adjustment, it is the perfect enclosure for all Do-It-Yourself installers. Hinge wall must be reinforced with a stud pocket where hinges are to be mounted. It is required to have support behind the tile and green board with wood to secure the door panel’s weight adequately. All measurements should be taken only after walls are finished (tile, back walls, etc.). The Scottsdale features a single acting door with polycarbonate strike jamb and a positive magnetic strike connection which will only allow the door to open outward. As with all frameless European style shower enclosures there is a possibility of leaking to the outside of the door, which is normal for these units. The door must be hinged off of a wall, hinging off the glass is not possible with this unit.
