The Antique Quilt America Flat Weave Rug is an exceptional textile piece in the 1920s. This square rug represents a unique convergence of early American folk art and textile design, featuring a bold, graphic aesthetic. The design showcases a striking, repeating pattern of stylized floral elements meticulously appliquéd onto a vibrant field of gold, yellow, and orange. Crafted from cotton using a needle-punched technique, this piece offers a 0.5-inch pile height. While cataloged as a flat weave rug, its artistic quilt construction makes it ideal for wall display, use as a decorative throw, or as a small scatter rug in intimate spaces. This historically significant piece captures the evolution of American craft with its intentional color contrasts and sophisticated design.
