The Antique Large Chinese - Baotou Knotted Rug is an exceptional hand-knotted runner originating from the Baotou region circa the 1900s. This piece features a sophisticated purple palette with a faded mauve and lavender field that creates dramatic visual depth. The design showcases an intricate diamond grid pattern populated by subtle floral medallions, creating a continuous allover effect. Crafted from robust wool with a 0.5-inch pile height, this rug combines durability with historical resonance. The field is framed by traditional Chinese fretwork and key patterns in aged beige and tan tones. Its elongated dimensions make it an ideal choice for hallways or gallery spaces, offering a unique focal point for both traditional and contemporary interiors.
