The Antique Kurdish Turkish Knotted Rug is a striking example of tribal weaving from late 19th-century Turkey. Hand-knotted from naturally dyed wool, this runner features a robust structure and a rich palette including deep indigo and terracotta. Its long, narrow format is ideally suited for hallways, showcasing a sequence of bold, stepped medallions and geometric motifs like diamond forms and stylized hooks. Dating back to circa 1875, this piece reflects the nomadic spirit of the Kurdish tradition with high-quality village production. With a 0.5-inch pile height, this antique rug offers both aesthetic value and a tangible connection to Anatolian textile history, maintaining its vibrant saturation after nearly 150 years.
