The Antique Art Deco Room Size Wool Ivory, Pink Rug is an exceptional hand-knotted piece dating back to the 1920s. This rectangular rug captures the fusion of modernist design and traditional East Asian aesthetics characteristic of the Chinese Art Deco movement. Its expansive central field is rendered in a soft, luminous ivory, beautifully contrasted by a dramatic rose-pink border. Detailed Chinoiserie imagery, including overflowing vases and peony blossoms, defines the perimeter with accents of teal, deep magenta, and sage green. Woven from luxurious wool with a 0.5-inch pile height, this rug offers a lustrous quality and refined elegance. This rare, room-sized acquisition represents the pinnacle of early 20th-century decorative weaving, making it a sophisticated addition to any contemporary interior.
