The Antique American Hooked Rug American Black 1920s is a striking textile artifact from the early 20th century. This square wool rug features a deep, saturated black ground that provides a dramatic backdrop for its central floral medallion. The design showcases a lush, fully bloomed rose in soft pinks and muted reds, surrounded by scrolling foliate elements in sage green and oxidized gold. Crafted with a 0.5-inch pile height, this hand-knotted piece offers a dimensional, sculptural quality characteristic of traditional American hooked rugs. Its small scatter size makes it an ideal accent for entryways, dressing rooms, or studies. This sophisticated antique piece serves as both a functional floor covering and a significant decorative artifact, reflecting the exceptional craftsmanship of the 1920s.
