The Antique American Braided Colorful Round Shape Area Rug is an exceptional example of early 20th-century domestic craftsmanship. Originating from circa 1935, this wool flatweave rug features a meticulous braided construction with strips of fabric woven into concentric rings. The dense, textural weave creates a robust surface ideal for high-traffic areas. Its sophisticated palette includes a blend of muted reds, deep navy blues, creams, and ochres, resulting in a rich, speckled multicolored appearance. With an abstract and geometric pattern, this circular rug serves as a striking centerpiece for both period and contemporary interiors. This piece demonstrates the enduring appeal of American folk art textiles, offering a unique charm and a low 0.25-inch pile height that fits seamlessly into any room.
