The Antique Allover Floral Wool & Cotton Hooked - Loop Pile Blue 1890s Rug is an exceptional example of late 19th-century American folk art. Handcrafted in the United States using a hooked, loop-pile technique, this square rug features a durable wool construction with a soft foundation. The design showcases a captivating blue mottled ground adorned with a repeating allover floral and stylized leaf pattern in warm salmon, ochre, and soft cream hues. Without a centralized medallion, the dense arrangement of geometricized blossoms fills the entire plane with remarkable precision. This room-sized piece offers a sophisticated textural element and a 0.5-inch pile height, making it a functional and historic addition to any primary living space.
