The Small Size Floral Pattern Antique Silk Pile Chinese Area Rug is an exceptional example of early 20th-century textile artistry. Hand-knotted in China circa the 1920s, this rectangle rug features a luxurious silk foundation and pile that creates a radiant sheen and brilliant light refraction. The central field showcases a luminous saffron yellow hue, beautifully contrasted by a midnight blue border decorated with traditional Shou symbols and Greek key motifs. Delicate butterflies and floral patterns populate the open-field design, anchored by a classic central medallion. Measuring approximately 5.02ft by 8ft, this durable silk rug is perfectly proportioned for hallways or entryways, offering a 0.5-inch pile height that adds historical elegance and luxurious texture to any high-traffic area.
