It's a lovely cage, well made and designed for a small bird, like my cockatiel. We did have a problem getting the dome installed due to in -the-box damage, which left it enough askew that it took many tries to get the job done. I purchased this as a travel cage for my Yellow Nape Amazon. I took a chance on the size since I couldn't find any reviews mentioning a larger parrot. The instructions just show a photo of the pieces and how they go together. It wasn't too difficult but needed to be tightened up at the joins. Anyone having a parrot knows how quickly they can learn to open the doors and food spaces. This cage has "pins" holding in the food dishes. Word to the wise, remember to purchase locks to secure the doors! For the price, this is a well constructed cage designed more for conures, cockateils and parakeets. It will for work for my Yellow Nape but only for travel. The only negative I can think of is the wooden dowel perches are not long enough and can easily fall off. Fabulous cage, but just like many of the other reviews (which I read before purchasing), my cage and it's components also came bent. That was slightly disappointing, considering how much it costs. However, the metal is bendable, so I was able to straighten the legs and one bowl holder that arrived bent. The legs of the stand now look normal, but the bowl holder doesn't look 100%, although I was able to make it fit the bowl. Otherwise, the cage looks great. It was easy to assemble, other than it was very difficult to put on three of the wheels bc those legs were bent. I ended using a cloth and a hammer to get those in place.
