This is a great addition for small critters. I considered it for newborn kittens that I foster. Having a divider for compartments is nice, and it looks more discreet, like furniture rather than simply a cage. It looks like the picture. A bit bulky, so be sure to measure out the space and ensure that the measurements will be the size and area that you need it to be but it’s great for the intended purpose. Also took maybe 20-30 minutes to assemble.. Monique. Wake Forest, NC. Thu Oct 09 2025

Cute as a freaking button !! Perfect size for One field type (very small) mouse habitat. A gerbil or two could use this as a transportation device to the vet and back, but not as a home habitat. The package that arrived was excellently wrapped, and reminded me of getting books by mail, with the mouse house parts disarticulated the package is quite small. Looking at the cage now out of the box and put together, I'd say two half gallon cartons of milk stood together would be the cage size in height and length , with a little more room across the depth. Just one concern, this being my first attempt at being a mouse mom and all. The exercise wheel. When putting the two halves together, there are gaps in the plastic, right in the middle of the running path. I worry that toes will get caught, which would make me very upset if my pet mouse (named Mouszer, middle name Mousey) should ever be hurt. I think I will either buy a new and better wheel, or try to make the one I have with this package safer.. Sheryl. Painesville, OH. Sat Nov 12 2016

We bought this cage as an extra to keep in our daughters room. Just perfect size for the rabbit. He has enough room for a food and water bowl, litter bow and grass mat. Still enough room left to stretch out.. Kristin. Yardville, NJ. Sun Apr 14 2013

I was impressed with the size of this cage. The tray is 7" deep, but gerbils need digging space, so I attached 7" plexiglass strips to all sides. This allows them more digging. I was worried that they might escape because although the wire spacing is 1/2", there are several places where the space is slightly bigger (where the door shuts or where the sides meet). I ended up using zip ties in some places to pull the sides together and eliminate extra space where the roof connects to the sides. I have 2 gerbils in it. One is about 6 months old, the other is 4 months old. Because they're juveniles, I was worried that they may be able to flatten out and squeeze through the bars, but so far, so good. It's a really big cage. I didn't think it was hard to assemble, but it did take me some time to add acrylic strips to deepen the base. With modification, this cage does work for gerbils. It would also be PERFECT for a single syrian hamster. They need lots of space, but they're bigger than gerbils.. Shari. Peoria, IL. Sun Oct 18 2026

Our playpen extension is crafted from a fine weather-resistant variety of fir tree lumber and coated with a protective, non-toxic stain. C-hook latch hardware securely attaches the playpen to the Tucker murphy™ pet medium rabbit hutch, allowing your rabbit room to roam while keeping them safe and secure. Easily access your pet through the large top door, which features C-hook latches, or one of the two side doors with secure dual locks. A short back panel keeps your pet safe from wild animals while allowing full access to the hutch and debris tray for cleaning.

It's a nice, sturdy cage and goes together fairly easily as long as you pay careful attention to the directions. Because of the various locations of doors and half-panels, it needs to be assembled and used in the right orientation, which means it's not the most flexible regarding use. If you're using it outdoors or in a large space, especially as pictured with an attached coop or run, it's perfect. For my head-tilt rabbit who doesn't escape from open cages as long as there's a short barrier, it provided excellent access for feeding and petting and I didn't need an attached cage. Moreover, this Small Animal Cage features a white wired body with a bar spacing, and a baby blue plastic base that keeps messes contained. Easy to Assemble and Clean: With a simple assembly, this Small Animal Cage sets up within seconds – no tools required! The wire body securely attaches to the base, creating an enclosed and safe habitat for your pet. Furthermore, the base is waterproof and can be simply wiped down and cleaned. By having such high sides, the plastic base keeps urine inside, especially with rabbits who tend to spray high. For a more thorough cleaning, you can remove the wire body from the base with ease. Ease of Access: Along with being secure, this cage also has 2 openings: one at the top, and the other at the front. They allow for quick and hassle-free access to your little one, making it easy to give your little one some food and treats. In the case of extreme emergencies, you can also remove the wire body, which gives you more space to work with.

The design includes seven access doors and a ramp to facilitate easy movement for pets and convenient access for owners. Additionally, the hutch is compatible with a matching playpen, enabling safe indoor and outdoor use for pets.

It looked great once assembled! It would work best for small pets, such as rabbits, gerbils/hamsters, etc.bwe used it for quail and it wasn't perfect, but it did kind of work. The tray is relatively easy to remove for cleaning. This isn't made for long term outdoor use in the elements, but would work great in a covered patio out of the rain or similar.. Thomas. We bought this addition for our ferrets house HOPING it was the right one to fit. It fit like a glove. Our ONLY complaint is that the front panel had the brackets (to attach it to our existing cage) welded on the top, so we had to install it upside down to make it work. The door swings on the left, not the right, which is backwards, but it works. We just turned the latching hardware around to make it lock "right". Thankfully we are handy enough to figure that out.. We also learned that rabbit enclosures must be easy to clean, which is vital to pet parents and their pets. This resulted in the creation of a trusted line of excellent small-animal products. We ensure that our products are manufactured following strict quality assurance procedures, procedures that are conducted during each step in our manufacturing process, and full-scale, random quality inspections during the year.
