This is a well made solid crate for a large dog. I have a medium dog and she is going to have plenty of room to move around. I needed something that would be easy to clean because she has had stomach issues recently. She prefers laying on the tile floor rather than a cushion or dog bed. Her previous crate was furniture style and I constructed it without the bottom and she would lay on the tile. I decided to build this and place a towel on the crate bottom and use the tray that belongs underneath, on the inside of the crate. This way she is laying on the plastic and if she has an accident at night all I have to do is take the tray outside to clean it. No more bending down inside a piece of furniture to clean my floor. She appears to be getting over her tummy issues and seemed very content to sleep on the tray last night. Happy dog, happy dog mommy. I'm 62 and I built this by myself in about 2 hours. Directions are clear and easy to follow if you have some basic experience putting furniture together. My only concern is that the small screws that attach the door hinges are not a good fit, they don't tighten, they just keep spinning.
