I hand-assembled this myself. It suggests that you NOT use power tools, so I did not. I kept scraping my knuckles on the wire when I was using the screwdriver, so wear gloves. In hindsight, I feel certain power tools would have been fine on the lowest setting. I love this - I moved parakeets to the front porch in an area where they are protected from the rain, have a breeze, and are not baking in direct sun. I can see them from inside, so I am constantly checking on them. This gave them so much more room than most cages. Parkeet are horizontal fliers and ground feeders, so the benefit from wider cages like this. They also fee safe if they can be higher than you, so this cage gives them a place to go up high, and I have to lead down to see up at them when the are at the top I might heat it for the winter, or just bring them back inside. So far, no predators have attempted to get in the cage. I check every day for marks, to see if anyone is trying.. Anne. Raleigh, NC. Sun Jun 29 2025

I love this bird cage! I was able to assemble on my own until lifting the cage to assemble to the base. The instructions were wrong in stating that the short screws serial were required to attach. Use the long screws. The other flaw was that on the Allen wrench the short end should have the screw driver as it was near impossible to use what was provided. From past experience I saved the box it was packed in right til completion and top finnial was missing!! Very disappointed but will find something else to put on top. This may require being kept indoors due to finish.. Cheryl. Homasassa, FL. Sun Jul 12 2026

This could not have worked out any better for my cat. We just moved into a new house, and we wanted our cat to be able to go outside but not run away. There is no way for my cat to get out of this cage unless they dug under. We have a lot of predators, and this cage definitely allows time for the cat to get back through the cat door and into the house. We put it in front of a window with a cat door. It is very well made. I put it together by myself, which was a little bit of a struggle, but I still was able to do it. A tip is to use zip ties to loosely hold it together while you’re screwing it together.. Liss. The red cage holders were broken could not use them. the cage is perfect easy to assemble. Cynthia. Lancaster,, PA. Sun Sep 06 2026

Nice sturdy heavy cage just as discribed but not exactly what I expected. It is pretty but the bars are thicker than our previous cage so it's harder to see the birds. It only has 1 actual access opening so not convient to move things around in the cage. Other 3 openings are for changing food & water out. This is very common for many cages but my birds are not tamed and I do not have a bird room. I love how convenient it is to clean the cage with the pull out grid and the metal tray. Much better than grid inside cage and staticy plastic tray. The cons are some parts are slightly off and the bottom catcher comes apart. Overall like the cage and hope I can tame the birds so the can come out.. Marie Choy. Maspeth, NY. Sun Jul 26 2020

My bird loves this tall cage fir hes swing and high areas. I like it because its light and i can hold it and walk through doors and set in shower stall for easy clean up. I do buy a new cage once a year due to cleaning the coating wears off. I wouldnt recommend this cage for larger birds. This is perfect for the Senegal, Sunfire maybe Quakers but if you have an animal thats prone to bitting and bending bars or trying to get out this may not be the cage for you. The metal is easily bendable however my parrot uses it like a safe place, shelter and hes outside of it just as much as hes inside of it. Fortunately I dont have an escape artist or a bar bitter. if you have someone similar youll love this cage. I woke him up to take a picture he wasnt a happy camper hes hiding in the top arch area.. This cage is large and durable. Assembly was a bit complicated as a few pieces were mislabeled, but after process of elimination I was able to figure it out. You’ll definitely need someone to help you with the way the screws and nuts are placed. For a bird cage it’s different in the sense that it’s a chicken wire pattern rather than vertical bars, and it doesn’t have built in food and water doors. Overall, it’s a fairly decent cage.. This beautiful teal birdcage was just what I needed for my front room. It was easy to assemble as well as lightweight with the rollers. I’m easily able to move my birds from one room to the next. The cage is the perfect size as it doesn’t take up much space in the corner. The aesthetic I like best about the cage is the open top. I appreciate the food containers as well as the three perches.. My 3 cockatiels love the cage and I do too. This is their vacation cage. I take them with me when I go to my place in Wisc. The cage is a perfect size, on wheels and the storage underneath is great.. Annette. IL. Wed Jan 27 2021

Also a shallow dish of water so they can take a birdie bath. I move it around and It fits nice in the corner of my living room or dining room. I love this cage. Anonymous. Mon Jul 06 2026
