Love this small coop for my five 7-week old chicks. It was easy to assemble with great instructions. Great value for the price. Chicks love being outside after living in a tank in my garage. I sat it on treated 2x4’s in the yard to add more support by screwing the bottom of the run to the 2x4.. Audrey. US. Wed Apr 29 2026

It is constructed from high-quality solid fir wood. All timber is T&G plained to avoid splintering. All joints are mortise and tenon.

The description is accurate. It's pretty small. Four chickens max, three is better. All the materials are light weight which makes it feel cheap, but it's well built. You couldn't build your own for the price of this coop. I recommend a few things for increasing its longevity. 1) Run a smooth bead of exterior caulk along the edges of the roof where it meets the trim mould. This will keep water from penetrating and ruining the edges of the roof and trim. 2) The screws aren't quite enough to make the coop stable. I recommend using a handful of galvanized 2 1/2 in. finishing nails at the joints to reinforce and strengthen the structure. 3) Put the structure on blocks/bricks to avoid rot where the coop contacts the ground. 4) Inspect the coop frequently and expect occasional repairs/maintenance.. David. Tue Aug 11 2026

This is great! My chickens are loving their newest boxes. I had purchased the metal nesting boxes by Garvee that was horrible. Theyre all back to laying in the new nesting boxes instead of all over the coop or outside.. Connie. Burns, OR. Fri Jul 31 2026

We got ours for ducks, seems perfect right now, but will be adding a second one and taking off the the ramp doors to conect, then using the ramp on one of the side doors... Anonymous. NC. Sat Apr 27 2024

Upgrade your backyard with this mobile 4-hen coop. Featuring 1.38" thick wood, wide metal wheels, and an easy-clean PVC liner, it offers a secure, durable, and fresh-air habitat for your flock.

Went together very easily. Also easy to move around. I am using it for my chicks until they are big enough to go with my hens. Currently have 6 8-week old chicks in there and it’s a bit crowded. Be mindful if getting for large hens. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the sliding door above where the ramp is (outside of the enclosed run) has no hardware cloth on it at all, and no lock to make sure it stays shut.. Anonymous. The packages arrived within two days of each other due to FedEx loosing one of them, everything good when opened. Though when moving it to is final place in the yard a piece did break off. The material is somewhat thin. We have two hens now so it fits them ok, not sure four would be comfortable though. Stephanie. FL. Wed Feb 19 2025

Easy to put together, parts are labeled, directions good. I only had to redo the hinges on lid, placing them somewhat higher than I had them in order for lid to close properly. Added an automatic door, the coop is spacious for my five hens, the roosting bars stay seated. I stapled two layers of strong plastic to roof for easy cleaning as they like to sit up there. The only part a little tricky was placement of the hinge on the left for roof, I wish the screw holes were marked better. I also set the coop on patio stones to protect the fir legs, the hens go under there sometimes.. Virginia. Tue Sep 15 2026

DURABLE METAL FRAME: This chicken coop combines all-around metal frame and fir wood for enhanced strength, stability and weather resistance, ensuring a safe coop for your chickens year-round.

Love this coop but getting it took some time. It originally came with one of the brooder panels missing some metal inserts so couldn’t be bolted together. Took several weeks to get a new panel but it finally came. Since it’s been totally together. Audrey. Dodgeville, WI. Thu May 21 2026

I have 4 chickens. I think they are going to fit in this coop perfectly. I feel like the number of chickens a coop will fit is so often overestimate but this one is spot on. Building it wasn't hard at all. Two down sides. It had a strong chemical smell but I left it out for a few days and it's gone. Also, a couple of places a screw cracked the wood. Overall, super sturdy coop that I'd definitely get again.. Dawn. Clinton Township, MI. Wed Apr 01 2026

If I could give this zero stars, I would. The quality is extremely poor, and the assembly was frustrating — several areas required creating my own holes just to make the pieces fit. I genuinely hoped this item would work out, but parts of the wood arrived broken, and the overall construction felt cheap. I’ll be returning it. Maybe I just received a defective one, but based on my experience, I cannot recommend this product. Wayfair is currently processing my refund.. Beulah Danielle. Kinston, NC. Sat Sep 19 2026
