I HATE building things. Literally HATE IT. I have to emphasize that because it's the truth. I knew I'd have to build this but waited a week to actually purchase it because of that. Let me tell you, if I hate building things with instructions and say that this was SUPER EASY to build then don't let that be what stops you from getting it. I didn't even have a 2nd person to help me (although a friend offered to come help), I did this solo and built it with ease. I love how spacious this is for my little Hammy (Syrian Hamster). She is so happy and explores all over. There was another commenter that upgraded the stairs and upstairs area with some carpeting and I think that is a genius idea that I will be doing as well because if there is no traction for the hamster on the ramp then they will literally slide down it which really sucks to see happen because they are so tiny. Get this hamster cage for your hamsters, give them a better habitat they only live once just like us so let their little lives be in quality material. My little Hammy has tried to chew the wood and quickly learned it wont do much so she gave up and hasn't tried chewing on the wood since lol. Plus if you do chew toys etc that really should keep your hamster, gerbil etc uninterested in trying to chew at the material. Bottom line get this cage it's EPIC.. Juliana Xstine. Las Cruces, NM. Purchased for our small Holland Lop bunny. I'm happy with this for a temporary solution, however, I'm curious to see how it holds up over time. Assembly instrutions were clear and relatively easy but wish there would have been better markings for some of the screws. Would have been easier with a power screwdriver but doable. All-in-all it took my daughter and I about 1.5 hours to put together. I would say that for the price, this is a good short-term win.. Dan. Fort Myers, FL. Sun Oct 04 2026

It's a decent cage but came with some screws that were not really ideal for putting it together. Also instructions were a little vague but not too hard to figure out and takes longer than 45 minutes to put together even with 2 people even using a power drill. Also power drill is a must since they only made holes on one side of it to put together. Also, there could of been better attachment pieces for the top and bottom without having to add locks on it. Overall it is a nice cage for a ferret. Also some ferrets don't like wooden ramps so you might have to add ramp covers.. Sarah. Port Orange, FL. Sat May 16 2026

I rescued some baby squirrels that had lost their mother and it was perfect for them until they were old enough to set free. They now live happily in my parents back yard where they have lots of trees and two small ponds. My parents put food out for them to make sure they are eating well and they come to visit whenever my parents out in the yard. They are still wold and don't get too close which is exactly what my parents intended.
