Item is very well made. The description does not give a weight limitation, my dog weighs 9.5 pounds, she is a long bodied dog and fits into the pounch just fine. It is comfortable to wear, it did not bother my back which was my worry and she adapted quickly to being in it. She does llike to be carried around though. I got this because I've tried numerous things that have not worked to calm her during her episode's of fear from storms, gunshots & fireworks. It actually did a great job. It stopped her shaking almost immediately and kept her from getting so nervous and worked up. When she gets like that it's very hard to calm her. So for that reason alone I give it a 5 star!!! I have a pomeranian and I thought this was so cute to carry him in. He fits in it just perfectly! Had to use some chicken to get him to poke his head out of the hole. But he did it! I love the versatility of this cat carrier! It arrived flat but in no time I was able to pop out all the compartments and let my cats check it out. No instructions but I didn't really need them. It will work well as a cat carrier but could be great for longer road trips, where you still want you cat to be secured but have a little more room to stretch out. My 9lb cat fits better than my 14lb cat, but it'll still work for both of them. The sherpa lining is super plush and there are tons of compartments. I can't imagine using them all, but good to have. This cat carrier is so high quality and the craftsmanship is fantastic. I honestly am surprised it is this well made. The only thing I could recommend for the company is to make the side stiffer in some way to prevent the small bit of sagging while it’s standing up. (see photo). The backpack straps and top handle are made from thick, high-quality material with tight, secure stitching throughout. The zippers feel sturdy, and every snap and buckle is well-placed and built to last. Separate storage compartments for toys and pet necessities are a thoughtful touch for pet parents on the go.
