Pretty good. Holes are predrilled but only on outer edges. Be careful when screwing together because it can split very easily. We bought this addition for our ferrets house HOPING it was the right one to fit. It fit like a glove. Our ONLY complaint is that the front panel had the brackets (to attach it to our existing cage) welded on the top, so we had to install it upside down to make it work. The door swings on the left, not the right, which is backwards, but it works. We just turned the latching hardware around to make it lock "right". Thankfully we are handy enough to figure that out.. This was the perfect sized little abode for a single bantam rooster we have. We got it in gray even though the gray shows a red coop, our gray order was in fact gray. I can't speak for the longevity as the wood floor and walls are VERY thin, and I'm not sure I would rely on if being super secure from harsh weather or from savvy predators, but we have it inside a secure run that has a canopy over it, so it won't get super wet where we have it and the run we have is predator proof. Hard to find single-chicken coops like this, and the price was great. With a little protection from the elements, I think it will work out for several years plus, and it perfectly fulfilled our needs. I do wish it had an optional roosting bar in it.. Daniel. It's a decent cage but came with some screws that were not really ideal for putting it together. Also instructions were a little vague but not too hard to figure out and takes longer than 45 minutes to put together even with 2 people even using a power drill. Also power drill is a must since they only made holes on one side of it to put together. Also, there could of been better attachment pieces for the top and bottom without having to add locks on it. We bought this for our 13-year-old chinchilla. She's had other cages but this one was, by far, the easiest to put together. The instructions were clear and all of the parts were labeled, which was extremely helpful. The only challenge was putting the platforms in the cage. It's easier if you bend the bars just a little bit to get the platform where you want it and then bend them back in place. There's one platform with a hole for her to go through, but she bypasses that and just jumps up from the ramps. Adding the ramps took the longest; putting the rest together took maybe 20 minutes tops. The ramps connect to the platforms which is amazing. She had a cage before where they did not connect and she would push them down. The ramps are covered and she goes up and down them with no problem.
