Overall, I like the product, easy to put together. I took off a star because an area of the plastic was not cut well and I cannot put the top door down on both sides to secure but it’s still usable so I’ll keep it.. Shanna. Fort Benning, GA. Sun Aug 09 2026

Awesome enclosure. Added some dry lock to seal the wood and now use for my adult bearded dragon after constantly buying different enclosures, this has got to be my favorite one. Added a few alterations to work for my need. I put both full size 21” bearded dragons in for size reference so show how huge this cage is. Easy to build roughly 15ish minutes for me.. Anonymous. The multi-level interior design provides separate activity zones for resting, feeding, and exploring, helping to promote healthier and more active pets. The detachable table-leg design provides flexible placement options—use it as a raised habitat to improve visibility and hygiene or remove the legs for floor-level use.

This cage was a great deal for how much space it has (we got it for a hamster). There are some modifications we had to make while building it, though. If you look at the picture, the little side door (there is only one) opens to the main living area, which you can already reach through the top door. We decided that it would be much more useful on the other side, where it would open into the little "private room" so we swapped the two side panels. However, we lost the little rim that hold the "roof" on the private area (it just sits in there securely, it is not screwed in for accessibility to the animal I would guess), so we nailed in two smalls scrap strips of wood to hold the roof level. The pull-out tray was also gaping a little bit on one side and it made me nervous, so again we used two scraps of wood and nailed them under the tray to hold it up a little higher. None of these modifications were time consuming, but they made the cage much more usable for us. Having the side door open to the "private room" has made all the difference in being able to reach our hamster. You would otherwise have to reach your arm through the doorway blindly or take the "roof" off (and everything sitting up there) to reach in there. The "private room is very spacious for a little critter. We have two different hides in there with room to spare. I will also note that the side panels have a pre-drilled hole on the side panels themselves, but there are NOT corresponding drill holes in the front and back panels. The instructions say to just screw the screw in, but we immediately felt the wood splitting, so we stopped and used a small drill bit to pre-drill our holes. I also did the same thing for installing the hinges. In all, I could not have found a more spacious hamster habitat at this pricepoint (after my text 10% off it came to only $61!) It is also attractive enough to have in the main living area. It feels sturdy and we are very pleased. If you are willing to make a few minor modifications while building, it becomes even better. The ramp is pictured with more “crossbars” than it actually has, so I will either need to add more or maybe some carpet to help my hamster get up and down. We are also planning on putting some sort of edge on the upper level to make it safer so our hamster doesn’t accidentally fall off. I am including pictures of some of the modifications we made (tiny pieces of wood held by one small nail each, two to lift the tray up a little and two to hold the "roof" in place over the private area, one of which also stops the side door from swinging inward). Update: we have added carpet and a railing for accessibility/safety on the upper level. The carpet pieces are all just laid in place (not attached) so they can be removed for cleaning. The railing is just a spare piece of wood attached with two small nails on the bottom edge. Updated pictures attached.. Anonymous. Fri Aug 28 2026

We bought this addition for our ferrets house HOPING it was the right one to fit. It fit like a glove. Our ONLY complaint is that the front panel had the brackets (to attach it to our existing cage) welded on the top, so we had to install it upside down to make it work. The door swings on the left, not the right, which is backwards, but it works. We just turned the latching hardware around to make it lock "right". Thankfully we are handy enough to figure that out.. The full two-screen tops are ventilation and are completely removable for easy access while decorating or cleaning. It features a sturdy metal frame, double-door design for easy access and cleaning, and a top enclosed locker to store pet supplies securely. Metal ramps offer non-slip, durable access between levels, while slide-out trays simplify daily care. Four 360° universal wheels (2 with locks) allow easy transport and secure placement. The embedded hammock buckle adds extra comfort, and the elegant round locks ensure safety. A spacious, functional home that blends seamlessly with your home decor while meeting your small pet’s needs.

We bought this for two rats and it's very spacious and pretty much perfect for them. Assembly was very simple and straightforward. The doors seem a bit cheap and flimsy. Not that a rat can breakout of them, but they don't align perfectly and there is a bit of "flex". Doesn't have any impact on our use case, but worth noting. The storage on the bottom is handy for extras, the wheels are nice for pulling the cage out and vacuuming under it and behind it. The look is very nice and it's not your average rodent cage. The only thing that I would add for future iterations of this cage is more hooks to the top for toys. On the top level there are 4 hooks for the hammock it comes with and nothing else, so you have to add your own and do something else. Otherwise, I'm really pleased with our purchase.. Kara. IN. Our playpen extension is crafted from a fine weather-resistant variety of fir tree lumber and coated with a protective, non-toxic stain. C-hook latch hardware securely attaches the playpen to the Tucker murphy™ pet medium rabbit hutch, allowing your rabbit room to roam while keeping them safe and secure. Easily access your pet through the large top door, which features C-hook latches, or one of the two side doors with secure dual locks. A short back panel keeps your pet safe from wild animals while allowing full access to the hutch and debris tray for cleaning.

It's a nice, sturdy cage and goes together fairly easily as long as you pay careful attention to the directions. Because of the various locations of doors and half-panels, it needs to be assembled and used in the right orientation, which means it's not the most flexible regarding use. If you're using it outdoors or in a large space, especially as pictured with an attached coop or run, it's perfect. For my head-tilt rabbit who doesn't escape from open cages as long as there's a short barrier, it provided excellent access for feeding and petting and I didn't need an attached cage. Just make sure that's what you need when buying.. Taylor. Saint Paul, MN. Thu May 06 2021

This animal cage features a metal frame with a wooden ramp and edge barriers. Measuring 27.6"L x 20"W x 55.2"H, the critter nation cage is constructed from solid fir wood and heavy-duty galvanized wire mesh. The five-level design offers ample space for exploration and climbing, and includes a small resting house. It is equipped with a deeper, leak-proof plastic tray that can be pulled out from the front and back and features a lock to prevent escapes. The metal wire mesh top and a visible front door provide good ventilation, allow for easy observation, and facilitate catching pets. This cage is suitable for a variety of small animals including ferrets, chinchillas, rats, squirrels, and sugar gliders, and can be used both indoors and outdoors.

It's a decent cage but came with some screws that were not really ideal for putting it together. Also instructions were a little vague but not too hard to figure out and takes longer than 45 minutes to put together even with 2 people even using a power drill. Also power drill is a must since they only made holes on one side of it to put together. Also, there could of been better attachment pieces for the top and bottom without having to add locks on it. Overall it is a nice cage for a ferret. Also some ferrets don't like wooden ramps so you might have to add ramp covers.. Sarah. Port Orange, FL. Sat May 16 2026

My grandson loves his TeddyBear Hamsters new cage. The only reason we gave it 4 stars, instead of 5, is that it came with a tiny water dispenser that was poorly designed. My guinea pigs are loving it so far. But to be clear you have to order the top separate (that’s why I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5). The product specification when I bought said “Removable top: yes” which why I ordered from Wayfair instead of amazon. However, top does not come with it. My pigs are happy as can be right now, I just live in an apartment complex and want to have a top option when people come into the unit.. Charlotte. Chicago, IL. Sat May 26 2018
