The material is good and quite suitable for small birds like parakeets and conures. However, the manufacturing could be improved to make it mess-free. This cage is large and durable. Assembly was a bit complicated as a few pieces were mislabeled, but after process of elimination I was able to figure it out. You’ll definitely need someone to help you with the way the screws and nuts are placed. For a bird cage it’s different in the sense that it’s a chicken wire pattern rather than vertical bars, and it doesn’t have built in food and water doors. Overall, it’s a fairly decent cage.. Fabulous cage, but just like many of the other reviews (which I read before purchasing), my cage and it's components also came bent. That was slightly disappointing, considering how much it costs. However, the metal is bendable, so I was able to straighten the legs and one bowl holder that arrived bent. The legs of the stand now look normal, but the bowl holder doesn't look 100%, although I was able to make it fit the bowl. Otherwise, the cage looks great. It was easy to assemble, other than it was very difficult to put on three of the wheels bc those legs were bent. I ended using a cloth and a hammer to get those in place.
