Wasn’t hard to build if you have any knowledge of cabinet construction. Generally looks nicer than comparable units because of the raised face door and drawers. Life saver for kitty’s spay surgery. Also fits well into my compact SUV backseat, although I have to kind of shove it in. Very well made, sturdy zippers, clear windows is great (as opposed to all mesh everywhere. I recommend update 1.5 years later: it was hard to get into the car door so I cut it in half. this way kitty can now travel with me in the front, in the passenger seat. she does use the hammock from time to time, but most trips she doesn't. still a great purchase..
