I hand-assembled this myself. It suggests that you NOT use power tools, so I did not. I kept scraping my knuckles on the wire when I was using the screwdriver, so wear gloves. In hindsight, I feel certain power tools would have been fine on the lowest setting. I love this - I moved parakeets to the front porch in an area where they are protected from the rain, have a breeze, and are not baking in direct sun. I can see them from inside, so I am constantly checking on them. This gave them so much more room than most cages. Parkeet are horizontal fliers and ground feeders, so the benefit from wider cages like this. They also fee safe if they can be higher than you, so this cage gives them a place to go up high, and I have to lead down to see up at them when the are at the top I might heat it for the winter, or just bring them back inside. The birds all love it so far; the door stays open all day, and they've spent quite a bit of time inside so far. Very happy with my purchase. Highly recommend. Nice sturdy heavy cage just as discribed but not exactly what I expected. It is pretty but the bars are thicker than our previous cage so it's harder to see the birds. It only has 1 actual access opening so not convient to move things around in the cage. Other 3 openings are for changing food & water out. This is very common for many cages but my birds are not tamed and I do not have a bird room. I love how convenient it is to clean the cage with the pull out grid and the metal tray. Much better than grid inside cage and staticy plastic tray. The cons are some parts are slightly off and the bottom catcher comes apart. The instructions leave a lot to be desired. Some things didn't fit the way they should. Nice cage overall. I did end up using some zip ties as I did not trust that they would not come apart. I would not have bought this with out the sale price as I think that is a better price for the cages. I got this for more flight area for my canaries and I believe it will provide that.
