My Dad wanted somewhere for his 2 indoor cats to be able to go outside. Found this for an excellent price. Took me about 4 hours, with breaks, in this SC heat. We did need to add a 2x4 along the side as little Gracie Mae would have been able to slip out. His 3 year old boy, William, was checking it out within 20 minutes. Purchased a pet door window sash for the front window from another site to save on the energy bill.. Chantel G. Leesville Sc. Mon Aug 03 2026

A two-level wooden house for cats and small dogs that stays outside year round. The upper level is a covered balcony with a rail on three sides, so an animal can sit up high and watch the yard. The lower level is the enclosed den, reached through the front door or the side door - both fitted with clear PVC flaps that cut wind and rain without blocking sight or airflow. The frame is solid wood in black and ochre yellow, topped with a black asphalt felt roof sized at 23.6" x 22.8" to shed water away from the panels. Two short jump boards on the left side give smaller animals a step up, and a dark gray scratching mat on the right takes the abuse instead of the furniture indoors. Overall assembled size is about 23.6" W x 22.8" D x 29.5" H, with the main body at 20.5" square and the balcony rail standing 5.9" high. Each door opening measures about 8.3" x 9.1", and the jump boards are about 9.6" x 5.3" each. Plastic caps on all four feet lift the wood off wet ground. Assembly required.

Love this little cathouse! My husband and I built a deck to elevate the house for our two stray cats. They haven’t gone inside yet, but have been up on the deck to eat and check out the house. I have no doubt once they try it out they will love it❤️. It seems to be a fairly sturdy little house and was pretty easy to put together. I would have given it 5 stars but as you can see in the last picture one of the pieces came with a crack in it. We will seal the crack and I think it will be fine.. Tgreen. Missouri. Sun Aug 16 2026

Plus, side pockets are perfect for storing treats and toys, keeping

I will be moving house next month, and I needed a way to transport two cats at once. They won't fit in a single cat carrier, so I ordered this. It looks like it will do, assuming I can get both cats into it. Pros. It's very roomy. Two adult cats should fit inside it comfortably. It seems pretty sturdy, and it's relatively lightweight. It was reasonably easy to assemble. I have yet to try disassembling it and putting it back in the storage bag it came in. Cons. The front entry to the carrier does not match the photo. In the photo, each side has its own zippered flap, which would allow me to wrestle one cat in, zip it closed, and then maneuver the second one into the other side. However, there is only one wide flap that serves both compartments. I am not sure how I am going to get both cats into the carrier because as soon as I unzip the flap to put the second one in, the first one is going to escape. This is a fairly significant design flaw for a carrier that's meant to hold cats, and the product photo is misleading. The metal rods that provide the structure for the carrier are sturdy, which is good for stability but not great for comfort or protection in case of emergency. If something were to happen that caused the carrier to fall or tip over, the cats could be injured by hitting their heads on those rods. Fortunately, I am not moving very far, and I can drive very carefully, but I will need to put some cushions or folded up towels on the bottom and do my best to cover those metal rods, so the cats are not hurt if they are jostled against them. The carrier has a single long strap and two shorter straps that can be brought together for carrying. It is extremely wide and bulky, so if I tried to use the long strap to carry it over my shoulder, it would sit at a pretty severe angle against my body. Given the metal rod situation mentioned previously, this is not an option. The two shorter straps allow it to be carried at a more level angle, although its size still makes this difficult. Just carrying it empty is awkward; once it has two angry cats in it, it will require even more careful handling. Given its bulk, it would have made more sense to equip it with handles on each side, so it could be carried with both hands in front of me. As I said, it will do for its purpose, assuming I can get both cats into it at the same time. It definitely could use some design improvements, and the product photo that shows two separate entry flaps in front should be removed. It is not accurate. UPDATE. I don't think the people who designed this had ever transported cats before. I used this carrier during my move. Getting both cats inside the carrier at the same time took some serious heroics. Then with two cats in it, it was much too heavy and bulky to carry. One of the cats slipped around the partition in the middle to see what was on the other side and sat on the other cat, making the weight distribution unwieldy. Trying to lift it with the top straps was incredibly difficult because the carrier is so large, and there was no way to carry it with both hands. Honestly, using it was a nightmare. My fault for thinking I could move to cats together in one carrier. The carrier manufacturer's fault for designing and marketing a cat carrier with multiple design flaws.. Kristin. Olathe, KS.
