My two kitties love their new space! We have two 9 months old kitties that we rescued when they were 3 12 weeks old. They are indoor cats but we wanted to give them a safe sanctuary when are not home. I put the structure together myself and it probably would have gone quicker if I had help but I took my time and the instructions were easy enough to follow. The wood is strong enough for indoor but I don’t think it would last long outside in the elements. I didn’t use the roofing material that came with it since I have it inside the house. I bought this catio for my two outside cats, and they love it. I did not buy it for the raccoon but he seems to love it too. I did some modifications, like adding a small entrance door and an escape door, and I added hooks to the outside to hang a plastic curtain from when it rains. I also added a plastic corrugated roofing panel and sloped it towards my yard to divert rain water. I assembled this myself, and it was fairly easy. I ended up removing two of the platforms because my cats really dont need them since they are free to roam the yard and only use this catio for shelter sleeping.
