About This Product

Hand painted color stays bright on Terra Bianca, a white earthenware clay Italian painters favor, and the Storia Medium Vase is a good argument for that preference. Shaped and painted by hand in Veneto, a northeastern region whose ceramic tradition is distinctive and hard to replicate, it carries the collection's gilded seams, a nod to kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold so the mend reads as the most interesting line on the piece. At 147 oz it has real volume, enough for branches, a market bunch with the stems left long, or a tall seasonal arrangement. Handmade in Italy and striking on its own, it suits an entry table, a dining room sideboard, or the center of a table nobody is in a hurry to leave.
