About This Product

Height is the point. The Storia Large Vase holds 220 oz, which is the kind of capacity that lets you buy branches instead of stems and leave them uncut, and it gives the hand painted design room to be seen across a room rather than across a table. Italian artisans in Veneto shape it from Terra Bianca earthenware and paint it by hand, finishing with the gilded seams that tie the collection to kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing pottery with precious metal. Set it in an entry, beside a fireplace or at the end of a long hallway, and it reads as sculpture when it is empty and as a showpiece when it is full.

Features

Holds 220 oz, generous enough for branches and long uncut stems rather than a trimmed supermarket bunch
A floor-adjacent scale that lets the hand painted design read from across a room, not just across a table
Hand painted in Italy by artisan Gianluca Fabbro, so the gilding falls uniquely on every vase
Terra Bianca earthenware provides the luminous white ground that makes the painted design stand out
Inspired by kintsugi, the Japanese art of golden repair, giving the seams purpose beyond decoration
Reads as sculpture when empty, so it holds a corner or entry through the months between arrangements
Made in Veneto, home to a ceramic tradition that is diverse, historic and still unmistakably local
Groups with the smaller Storia vases for a staggered arrangement of heights on a console or mantel
