The Tovolo Elements 3-Quart Square Colander drains a full pot of pasta or rinses fresh produce, sending the water to the sink and keeping the food in the basket. Small holes across the base release water quickly while holding back rice, quinoa, orzo and small berries that slip through a standard colander. A tall, wide grip handle on one corner gives a secure hold under running water or when the basket is full of hot pasta. Small feet under the base let it stand and drain in the sink or on the counter. A smooth interior is gentle on tomatoes, berries and lettuce, so they rinse without bruising. The square shape stores neatly in a cabinet, and a hole in the rim lets it hang on a hook. It is made of BPA-free, heat-resistant plastic and is dishwasher safe.
