Battus Table Lamp

Features

• Travertine carries natural pits and inclusions, so the surface holds depth and shadow that a cast or poured material cannot match.
• Because the stone is quarried rather than manufactured, marking and pitting differ from lamp to lamp, which is the honest evidence of a natural material.
• A slim metal base and neck frame the stone top and bottom, so the column reads as a considered piece rather than a raw block.
• A tapered linen shade follows the line of the stone below and diffuses the light instead of pushing it in one direction.
• Used as a pair, it gives a long sofa a matching vertical at either end, a quiet repeat in a room of large upholstery.
