About This Product

In an entry, on a dresser, or beside a desk, the Surti Round Box does the quiet work of holding what would otherwise sit loose. Ground bone is cut into narrow pickets and set across the exterior in ordered rows, close enough that the whole form reads as one fine, deliberate texture. Inside, the box is painted, so the contents recede and the lid closes on a clean interior. The rounded shape softens a shelf full of rectangles, and the raised bone rows give a plain console something to catch the light.

Features

Placing hundreds of tiny bone pickets by hand is slow, exacting work, and the payoff is a texture no printed or molded surface gets near.
A painted interior gives the inside a finished look and keeps the contents visually quiet when the lid is open.
The round silhouette breaks up shelves and consoles otherwise stacked with squared-off books and boxes.
Lidded storage collects keys, jewelry, and the day's small debris in one place instead of leaving it spread across a surface.
Buffalo bone is a natural material, so subtle variations in grain and pattern give each box its own distinctive character.
