About This Product

Composite is pulled from a mold and then hand-pricked, point by point, to build the pitted texture real sea stars have, and that texture is what makes the Starfish Sculpture convincing rather than merely decorative. The set pairs a smaller form with a larger one, both shaped with a sense of motion, and each is raised on a metal stand with a clear acrylic base so it appears to float above the surface. Set them together on a console, or split them across a bookshelf and a bedroom dresser.

Features

Two starfish forms in different scales come as a set, giving you instant height variation for a shelf or console vignette.
The pricked surface catches light in small points, which keeps the piece from reading as a flat molded shell.
Each form sits on a slim metal post over a clear base, so it seems to hover and the eye reads the shape, not the mount.
Hand-finishing leaves small differences in texture from one sculpture to the next, evidence the surface was worked rather than stamped out.
The coastal subject brings the theme into a room without leaning on shells, rope, or literal nautical props.
