About This Product

Mouth-blown art glass gives the Aetheria Bowl its swirls, threads laid into the hot glass and then pulled out of shape as the piece is stretched into its final, elongated form. The walls stay shallow and wide, so the swirl pattern spreads out where you can take it in from above. Being watertight, it can hold water as easily as a few decorative objects. Run it down the middle of a dining table, or set it on an entry console where its length fills a stretch of empty surface.

Features

Latticino and fenicio glassblowing set the swirled decoration into the glass while it is molten, so the swirls stretch along with the bowl as it is drawn long.
Mouth-blown art glass gives the walls a hand-formed clarity that machine-molded glass does not reproduce.
The low, stretched profile makes it a centerpiece you can see over, which matters on a dining table or kitchen island.
It holds its own empty, so you are not obliged to fill it for the piece to look finished.
Watertight construction lets you float blossoms in water for a table setting you can change with the season.
