Counting a till of loose change by hand is the slowest job in a retail day. This machine sorts pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters at 230 coins per minute, so a full drawer is separated in the time it takes to cash up the notes. The hopper holds 200 coins, which means fewer stops to refill during a long count. Wrapping is handled in the same pass: drop coin wrappers into the four tubes and the machine fills them as it sorts, ready for banking, though the wrappers themselves are not included. Operation is deliberately plain, with no menus or complicated buttons, so a new member of staff can be shown how to use it in a minute. It suits a shop register, a laundromat, a vending route or an office petty cash drawer.
