Burnt Orange & Ivory Geometric Silk Velvet Lumbar Pillow – 16x24
Warm, graphic and distinctly sophisticated, this 16x24 inch silk velvet lumbar pillow combines rich burnt orange with luminous ivory in an oversized geometric motif.
The repeating circular forms and sweeping curved lines create a bold sense of movement, while the restrained two-color palette keeps the design refined and highly usable. Depending on the light and direction of the velvet pile, the burnt orange shifts subtly between terracotta, rust and warm copper tones, giving the textile exceptional visual depth.
The silk velvet face is handwoven using traditional techniques, resulting in the beautiful variations in texture, color and pile that distinguish artisan-made textiles from mass-produced printed fabrics.
Its 16x24 inch (40x60 cm) lumbar proportion makes it an excellent statement piece for sofas, sectionals, lounge chairs and beds. The graphic scale is large enough to stand beautifully on its own while remaining easy to layer with solid and subtly textured pillows.
Finished with a natural linen back and concealed zipper closure, the pillow includes a premium down feather insert for the relaxed, full silhouette favored by interior designers.
Each pillow is carefully tailored in our California atelier by skilled artisans.

Designer's Point of View
This is a particularly useful piece for bringing warm color into a neutral interior.
Burnt orange has enough saturation to create a focal point, but because it relates naturally to terracotta, leather, walnut and other earthy materials, it feels much more sophisticated than a bright conventional orange.
The oversized pattern also gives this pillow excellent visual presence from across a room. I would treat it as the hero pillow rather than surrounding it with several other bold patterns.
Best Furniture & Upholstery Pairings
I would use it with ivory bouclé, oatmeal linen, warm beige, camel, cognac leather, chocolate brown, charcoal or olive upholstery.
One of the strongest combinations would be a cream bouclé or ivory linen sofa with walnut furniture and aged brass accents.
It would also look exceptional on a cognac leather lounge chair. The tonal relationship between cognac and burnt orange would feel layered rather than overly matched.
For a bedroom, place it centered against ivory, flax or warm white bedding, especially with a walnut or upholstered headboard.
Designer Combination
For a luxury neutral sofa, I would style:
Two 20x20 oatmeal or warm ivory pillows + two 18x18 chocolate, camel or muted olive pillows + this 16x24 burnt orange geometric lumbar centered in front.
For a more editorial combination:
20x20 deep chocolate + 20x20 warm ivory texture + this 16x24 burnt orange lumbar.
Add travertine, dark walnut, aged brass, cream wool, cognac leather and a small amount of black elsewhere in the room.
That palette would work beautifully in a high-end California, New York or desert-modern interior.
Best Interior Styles
This pillow is especially strong for Organic Modern, Mid-Century Modern, Warm Minimalism, Modern Heritage, Contemporary, Transitional, Modern Mediterranean, Desert Modern, Earthy Bohemian, Curated Eclectic and 1970s-inspired contemporary interiors.
It also works beautifully in luxury home staging, boutique hotels, designer offices and upscale vacation properties.
