I thought this would have solid pillars that screw into each other. Rather each aluminium cylinder is a little thinner than a cardboard toilet paper role, and has 4 1/4" diameter steel rods that link the top and base through the hollow cylinders. I wish there was a "not made in China" filter. The drive to cut costs and weight results in too many unexpected cut corners. It appears to support the TV ok, and looks...alright. The glass platforms are of acceptable quality for the price. I am underwhelmed but satisfied. 3 stars.

Although some of the product pieces seem a little flimsy, once the table is put together, the tv stand is a quality product and very strong. Good quality for the price!
