Best Mailbox Posts & Stands With Reviews

We read the reviews and decided to get this mailbox anyway. It looks great and was easy to install. Other reviews that state the post turnsrotates is probably because the put the metal rod back in the same hole they dug the old post out of. The loose dirt wont hold the rod in place. You either have to place the rod in undisturbed ground or use some cement. We used the same hole and place some quick-crete in and it the post is stable and doesnt turn. We love it!

The post and accessories were really easy to install. The instructions clearly detailed the various steps. My wife & I had this setup in no time. The mailbox itself isn't going anywhere now. The mailbox and post could probably withstand a tornado and still last. Not only is it decorative and contemporary, but it is extremely solid and durable.

This mailbox was really easy to put together, and it looks really nice in front of our blue house with white trim. The price was great!! Does not come with numbers for the side, but comes with everything else. In case you didnt know this, you have to mount this on a 4x4, which we already had in the ground from our previous mailbox.

OMG, this item is exactly as described, I couldn't be more happy. I removed the old mail post & slipped this stand right over the wooden 2x4. perfect!! it looks adorable in my yard. I am different from everyone else in the neighborhood which is what I wanted. WAYFAIR you did me Proud!

Easy to assemble, looks good, price was comparable. The only issue was the screws into the post did not stop it from still having a bit of sideways play (there was a lot of play over the 4x4 post). What I did to to keep it from twisting back and forth was to put decorative concrete blocks at ground level on left and right sides of the post to keep it straight to the road. The dual mailboxes were for myself and neighbor across the road, still in the process of building. That was my welcome to the neighborhood gift along with the installed medium sized mailbox. He and his wife thanked me several times. That's what we do around here.

While walking one evening I saw a very similar white mail post & I knew it was what I wanted to replace my very lackluster current one. Shopped around a bit and found Wayfair had the best price. It was my first ordering from this company. It looks nice with our freshly painted dark green mailbox. Can't wait for my granddaughter to help me plant the flowers in the planter box.

As I expected, there was an amount of cleanup to do on the mold lines. Easy enough if you have a good utility knife and a good metal scraper. The mold left a post with a bit of a lean in one direction, so, I just had that side not face the street so that the whole box wouldn't look off-kilter. All of these things I expected because....the difference between a hundred-something dollar post and an eight hundred dollar post....well, there is bound to be a little fixing to do. Additionally, I replaced the 2x4 inside the bracket with a treated 2x4. I also used white spray foam with a long tube inside the bracket support, which is hollow, to provide more stability. Worked great. All as I expected to have to do with this post and it worked out great. The red sign in the photo is a fire number sign, required where I live.

The quality is quite acceptable, though the installation is a bit tedious. It seems the round core of the post itself tends to allow some movement around the 2 X 4 post that is necessary for stability, ie. the proverbial "square peg in a round hole" syndrome. I will have to find a method of securing the post with stakes so that it is more secure and rigid. That said, it's a beautiful addition to the public parkway. Plus it is "one of a kind", making it special with a copper mailbox. Pros: Affordable, stately design, classy looking Cons: No color options, slight design flaw adds to lack of rigidity.

I purchased this product to hold my new “Capital door plaque package post mounted mailbox”. The material is like a heavy plastic but looks very nice and goes well with my Craftsman style home. The post arrived in two separate boxes, one with the vertical post and the second with the horizontal piece that holds the mailbox. The instructions were simple and we had everything up and ready to go on the same day. I would highly recommend this product.

Nice unit that looks good but plastic mounting arm is OK only for plastic mail boxes but not for a heavy metal box as stated in the instructions. I had to add additional lag bolt thru the back of my existing mail box to fasten it directly to the internal 4 x 4 upright post to make it rigid. Had an issue with Wayfair initially sending two boxes that were the same that contained uprights and no mailbox arm. Was able to call someone after some research foe a phone number and a complete new mailbox was sent, to boxes. The only problem was that the new upright post was not a Dover design. No problem because I already had two Dover uprights. Waiting for Wayfair to tell me what to do with the two extra uprights.

Heavy duty post, Solid heavy gauge steel that is beautifully finished. It is slightly larger than a wood 4x4 and has threaded holes for the enclosed m8 bolts. (For the mail box) I slipped inside it a wood 4x4 to make it longer and even stronger. A 4x4 easily slips inside and it comes with lag bolts to attach at the bottom if desired. I think though the post should be at least 6” longer. I buried mine 2’ so needed the 4x4 for the extra length. It is rock solid! 31” finished height from the street was a bit low for my mail lady. Even though is it 1” higher than postal minimums when the mailbox is attached. So I ordered a mail boss ht extension that will give it 6” more. Not cheap so I would install it at least 33” -34” high from the street level not 31”. My mail lady said the new mail trucks have higher window levels. The post is expensive but beautiful and custom made for any mail boss mailbox.

It's extremely sturdy, so you don't have to worry about this mailbox post falling apart. The only "negative" thing I have to say, is there seemed to be a bad spot on the post. But in all honestly, no one would ever notice. With that being said, I would highly recommend these posts. Such a easy way add curb appeal & update those old posts.

This post comes with a black mailbox, which I did not use. The hummingbird mailbox, also bought from Wayfair, is slightly larger but still fits the post with no problem. It looks like a matched set with the yard lamppost I have. I installed it over a 4x4 post and it’s super sturdy with no need to reinforce the arm. It came with all hardware but the top and end caps need to be glued on and the glue was not included. The decorative base has to slide over the post before the arm is attached.

It seems like it is a pretty good post. I have never seen a post that is drive in like this, so it is unique to me. I also have not seen a cedar post before, so that is pretty neat. I look forward to enjoying it for many years.

This mail box post was an easy, not too heavy for me project which I accomplished all by myself. I found the post to be sturdy with easy directions to follow. The enclosed screws went in smoothly to the pre-drilled holes with ease. The mailbox I bought separately was easily installed by me as well. I am also confident that this post will withstand the harsh weather conditions we encounter along the bay and ocean with our sandy soil, our salty air, and our strong winds. I am so pleased.
