Pricey but worth it! I searched and searched for flatware NOT MADE IN CHINA! It was very difficult! Most familiar names (and those that used to be associated with quality) are not made in America anymore. For example: Reed and Barton, Onida, Lenox, Micasa, Kate Spade. The quality of these aforementioned brands has decreased dramatically. I would have loved to buy American: yet, I only found one company aptly named Liberty. However, they did not carry a style to my liking. This product is made in Italy and made well. . Sheryl. MD. Sun Aug 16 2020

Designed in 1938 and presented in silver at the 1940 Triennale, the collection series of cutlery - an excellent example of “Lombard classicism” in design - won praise from Gio Ponti for the balance it struck between an image of craftsmanship and the industrial future of household objects. Since 1990, thanks to an agreement after extensive philological research to complete the series with the missing pieces, the collection has been reissued in 18/10 stainless steel and in 925/00 silver for the brand.

This set is absolutly beautiful and a delight to hold in my hand. The knife has an edge on it that is sharp enough to cut easily with. This is a great set. The acacia cutting board has a nice pattern. The small serving knives are cute. The handles are obvious looking plastic, but they are still attractive. Spread creamy butter on a French baguette, preserves on a crisp slice of wheat bread, tangy chèvre on a cracker, hummus on pita, or cream cheese on a bagel with French Home’s set of 8 Laguiole spreaders and round acacia wood board. The handles of these spreaders in stunning pearlized shades of pewter green, sage, blue, and silvery white contrast beautifully with the natural wood board ideal for casual elegant entertaining. The Laguiole design is renowned for having a three-rivet curved handle with the iconic bee emblem on its bolster symbolizing Napoleon and the French monarchy. The board was a nice size - big enough to hold three or four cheese options, but small enough to fit in the cabinet. I love the shape of the knives, and the “pearlescent” finish. The quality of the finish was uneven - a couple of the knives have a tarnish or spotting near the rivets. I think this is a good value for the price, and would make a nice set to gift.. Courtney.
